Tooth extractions

Sometimes a tooth can’t be restored safely — decay, cracks, infection, or mobility make removal the most predictable way to protect long-term oral health. We understand extractions can feel intimidating, which is why we slow everything down, explain each step beforehand, and check in often.

The goal is simple: a calm, clear experience that helps you move forward comfortably.

Why a tooth might need to go

Leaving a compromised tooth in place can lead to persistent pain, swelling, spreading infection, or damage to adjacent teeth. Removing the tooth prevents these issues and creates space for long-term solutions such as implants, bridges, or dentures.

Most patients are surprised by how quick and straightforward the appointment feels once they know what to expect.

What happens during an extraction

Your visit begins with a full review of the area and local anesthesia to ensure the tooth is fully numb. We gently loosen the tooth, remove it with steady care, and provide clear post-treatment instructions.

Before you leave, we explain what healing should look like over the next few days and answer any questions about next steps or restorative options.
